If you live in a conservation area, your local planning department may
well dictate that a roof window of traditional external appearance is
required. VELUX Conservation windows meet this requirement, enjoying all
of the benefits of a standard VELUX Window, but in a traditional black
conservation style, with a recessed flashing, allowing the window to sit
deeper in the roof, and glazing bars on the pane to replicate that
traditional window appearance.
This GPL SD5P2 Top-Hung Conservation window is suitable for a plain tile
roof with tiles up to 14mm thick (min 25° roof pitch) and comes with the recessed flashing included in the price, as well
as insulation collar and underfelt collar for maximum energy
efficiency.
Kit Containing: VELUX GPL 2570 Top Hung Roof Window
EDP recessed Flashing for plain tile up to 14mm thick (min 25° roof pitch)
Insulation Collar
Underfelt Collar.
NOTE: The requirements from conservation officers throughout the country
differ and the black external finish is not always insisted upon. It is
worth checking this, as if a grey exterior is acceptable in your area,
you can save a fair bit of money by simply adding a VELUX Glazing bar
and a recessed flashing to any standard VELUX Window. For more
information on this - see the
VELUX Glazing Bar page.
All VELUX Conservation Windows come with VELUX 10 year guarantee
