Kahrs Oak Trento is an affordably priced, high quality floor, available in a Matt or Satin lacquer finish. Oak Trento (also known as Oak Erve in some markets) is a 3-strip rustic oak floor with colour variations and knots. To clarify the two names, Oak Erve was originally used for this floor in the German markets and Oak Trento was used in the UK market. With stocks being stretched over the last few years, both of these names have worked their way into UK stocks, but they are identical floors. Kahrs Oak Erve and Oak Trento are the same product, just with a different name on the pack.
Each board measures 2423 x 200 x 13mm (length x width x thickness) and each pack contains 7 boards covering a total area of 3.40 square metres.
The Kahrs Oak Trento flooring is lacquered, providing a smooth surface layer of protection against wear and tear. It comes with the innovative Kahrs click-joint for quick and easy installation. The Woodloc® 5G click-joint allows each board to click and lock snugly into place beside its neighbour, for a rigid, strong and gap-free floor, with no adhesive needed. It can be installed as a floating floor, with underlay to provide acoustic and thermal insulation as well as a built-in damp proof membrane. , free with Kahrs Flooring orders over £500. Simply add the underlay to your basket and then use the promo code “UNLAY500” for a 100% discount. Kahrs Oak Trento flooring can also be glued-down in situations where this is a preferable installation method.
Kahrs have been manufacturing engineered wood flooring since 1857, they have been the inventors and leading innovators of some of the most revolutionary flooring construction techniques over the last 150+ years. Their skill, experience and artistic craftmanship, along with the superb quality of their products, puts them head and shoulders above the rest in our opinion. If you want a floor that lasts and that looks and feels beautiful, then you have come to the right place.
The innovative multi-layer floor construction, invented by Kahrs back in 1941, creates a real oak floor, that is far more durable, flexible and sustainable than if hardwood was used throughout the board construction from top to bottom. Faster growing softwoods like spruce and pine are used in the lower, unseen layers of the floor. These softwoods are not as reactive to moisture and temperature as hardwoods like Oak and Walnut, but are also more flexible, which means the Kahrs Oak Trento can expand and contract naturally through the changing of the seasons without it undermining the strength of the planks. It also makes the floor suitable for use with underfloor heating, and makes more efficient and environmentally friendly use of the slower growing, more valuable hardwood trees like Oak.
With a 2.6mm wear-layer, Kahrs Oak Erve can be re-sanded 2 – 3 times in its lifetime and it comes with a 20 year manufacturers guarantee. This is a premium quality oak floor that will stand the test of time and bring a stunning natural beauty into your home.
