Kahrs Oak Breeze is a clean grade, 7mm oak floor with minimal knots. The sandy hues create a calm and even expression, suitable for a range of interiors. This floor is currently on a clearance special price whilst stocks last and it is a floor that has been discontinued by Kahrs, so once the stock goes, we can’t order more in.
The Kahrs Breeze is a 2-strip floor, meaning the width of each plank is split into two strips of oak, and each board measures 1225 x 193 x 7mm.
The surface layer of this Oak Breeze flooring is lacquered, protecting against wear and tear without adding artificial shine. There is a choice of matt lacquered or satin lacquered with limited stock available in each finish at the current clearance price.
The Kahrs Oak Breeze floor has a click-joint for quick and easy installation. The Woodloc® click-joint allows each board to click and lock snugly into place beside its neighbour, for a rigid, strong and gap-free floor, with no adhesive needed. It can be installed as a floating floor, with underlay to provide acoustic and thermal insulation as well as a built-in damp proof membrane. We supply the Silver Lux 3mm Foil Backed Underlay here, free with Kahrs Flooring orders over £250. Simply add the underlay to your basket and then use the promo code “ULY250” for a 100% discount. Kahrs Oak Breeze flooring can also be glued-down in situations where this is a preferable installation method.
The innovative multi-layer floor construction, invented by Kahrs back in 1941, creates a real oak floor, that is far more durable, flexible and sustainable than if hardwood was used throughout the board construction from top to bottom. Faster growing softwoods like spruce and pine are used in the lower, unseen layers of the floor. These softwoods are not as reactive to moisture and temperature as hardwoods like Oak and Walnut, but are also more flexible, which means the Kahrs Oak Breeze can expand and contract naturally through the changing of the seasons without it undermining the strength of the planks. It also makes the floor suitable for use with underfloor heating, and makes more efficient and environmentally friendly use of the slower growing, more valuable hardwood trees like Oak.
