The Artisan Oak Tennessee is a distressed oak floor full of character, designed to look just like original historic flooring that has been restored to its former glory. Natural knots and cracks in the wood, combined with handscraping to enhance the worn look and meticulous brushing to bring out the natural texture of the wood, make the Oak Tennessee flooring a stunning piece of craftmanship.
The floor is lightly smoked during the manufacturing process, and the oiled finish keeps the floor looking as natural as possible, whilst ensuring protection. We recommend an additional coat of oil is applied to the floor once laid to seal into the joints. The great thing about oiled floors is you can re-oil them whenever you like to completely freshen them up and ensure your flooring looks as good as new for years to come. To apply the oil, you simply mop in to the floor with a microfibre mop, just as you would if you were cleaning the floor. Super quick and easy.
Each board measures 1900 x 190 x 15mm with a 3.5mm wear layer than can be resanded 2 - 4 times. Bevelling to the edges of the boards gives that authentic full plank look and feel so there is no mistaking the natural, rustic aesthetic of this floor once laid.
With the innovative Kahrs Woodloc® click-joint, the Kahrs Tennessee can be quickly and easily laid as a floating floor, saving time and expense on adhesives. The robust joint, ensures each board locks tightly into place with the next, for a sturdy, gap free floor. The flooring can also be glued down if there is a particular need for this.
Suitable with underfloor heating, this reclaimed timber style flooring benefits from a multi-layer construction which gives it flexibility and strength and ensures a good moisture resistance through the structure of the board.
