The Cairnwood 125mm Natural Oak Flooring is a rustic, cosy oak floor with straw brown hues and a brushed & oiled finish. It forms part of the Cairnwood Design Collection, a diverse range of high quality hardwood floor options, durable and luxurious in a range of sizes, natural colours and professional finishes.
The Cairnwood 125mm Natural Oak Flooring comes in board dimensions of 14mm x 125mm x 300 – 1200mm lengths and is sold in packs covering 1.80m2 per pack. You can also upgrade to the 150mm wide version or the 190mm wide version. Careful brushing enhances the natural texture of the oak and the oiled finish protects the wood against wear and tear without compromising the natural colour and character of the floor. 4V Bevelling adds depth to the joints and gives that full plank look and feel when laid.
The Cairnwood Natural Oak is a 1-strip floor, meaning the full width of each plank is covered in a single strip of real oak. The innovative multi-layer construction of the board creates a real oak floor that is far more durable, flexible and sustainable than if hardwood was used throughout the board construction from top to bottom. Faster growing softwoods are used in the lower, unseen layers of the floor. These softwoods are not as reactive to moisture and temperature as hardwoods like Oak and Walnut, but are also more flexible, which means the Cairnwood 125mm Natural Oak Flooring can expand and contract naturally through the changing of the seasons without it undermining the strength of the planks. It also makes the floor suitable for use with underfloor heating, and makes more efficient and environmentally friendly use of the slower growing, more valuable hardwood trees like Oak.
This is a T&G floor, with a machined joint that allows each plank to link snugly into place with its neighbour for a strong and rigid installation. We can send out free samples on request so you can see and feel the floor in-person before you order.
