Engineered Wood Flooring Click

Engineered Wood Flooring Click Wide Image

The type of joint on engineered wood floors determines how easy they are to fit, how strong and durable they are and whether you need additional fixings like adhesives or nails during the installation process. Engineered wood flooring click uses an innovative joint that allows the planks to click together, without the need for adhesives. The alternative to click-joint engineered wood floors is tongue and groove, where you essentially have a protrusion on the side of one plank and an indent on the side of the other, and you slot these together, using wood adhesive to hold them in place.

In the past, all wood floors used to be tongue and groove, but click engineered wood flooring was invented and essentially revolutionised the industry as a result. Quicker, easier and cheaper to install and, as the construction of these click joints has evolved and improved, a more robust locking mechanism to hold the boards in place and create a strong, gap-free floor.

At Kens Yard, we specialise in Kahrs flooring, a world renowned manufacturer from Sweden and the oldest wood floor manufacturer in operation today. Our Kahrs floors have a range of different click-joints as outlined below: –
