The GGL 306030 is one of VELUX’s most popular Solar Powered INTEGRA Roof Windows, and rightly so. You get all the features here of the other windows in the INTEGRA Electric windows range – with the added bonus of being powered by the sun. The PV Solar cell, located on the outside frame of the window, transforms the light energy from the sun into electrical energy to charge the operating motor. The window requires direct exposure to sunlight. Installation is easier than that of normal electrical windows because you do not have to hook the window up to a power source.
This stunning window has 60 pane glazing, meaning it comes with all the same features as 73 pane glazing but it has a lower U-value. In fact the U-value for the whole window is only 1.3W/m2K. The clear and clean coating on this windows helps the pane stay clean and help reduce the amount of condensation that forms on the window. The outer pane of this window is toughened which helps to improve energy efficiency and help with noise reduction.
The GGL 306030 offers excellent value for money. It is made from high quality pine, with a triple coat finish. The top control bar allows the window to be easily opened by hand. This function is useful if you wish to ventilate a room, allowing clean, crisp air to flow into your room. The top control bar also allows you to rotate the window 180° so you can easily clean the outside or your window, from inside your home.
A clever remote comes with this window, which allows you to control the opening and closing of your window from anywhere in the home. The remote can also be easily programmed to allow you to open more than just one window with a single remote. If you have three of these windows in one room, then just use one remote to close them all. Like other windows in the INTEGRA range, this window features a rain sensor. You’ll not have to worry about the contents of your room getting wet because the rain sensor will automatically close your window if it rains. This feature is particularly handy if you have left your home with the window open and it begins to rain.
