This GGL 3073 Velux Centre Pivot window comes with a modified pane to offer extra resilience and durability. The glass is toughened on the outside laminated on the inside, utilising the same technology that is used for modern car windscreens.
The strengthened outer pane decreases the chances of damage to the pane and the laminated interior glass means that even if the pane was struck by a heavy object with severe force, it would not smash, it would simply crack and remain contained within the frame.
The glass is also treated with an additional coating which prolongs the cleanliness of the pane and ensures maximum daylight pours into the room and the views outside are clear to see.
Velux centre pivot windows rotate 180 degrees and lock in place for easy cleaning of the outside pane, and come with a 10 year Velux guarantee. They are suitable for roof pitches between 15 and 90 degrees.
As with the standard centre-pivot window, this GGL 3073 laminated skylight comes with a horizontal pull handle to open and close, and has a one hundred and eighty degree rotation around the central pivot. This particular version comes in high quality natural pine with a clear lacquer finish, for a classic and versatile look.
