The inner pane is laminated meaning that if the window does break, the shards will be suspended in the frame rather than being scattered across the floor.
Another feature of the Velux GGL 3041Q is its low U-value. The U-value of a window is a measure of the amount of heat that is lost from the window. The lower the U-value, the better the window’s insulating properties. This will save you on heating bills and keep your home nice and warm.
The Velux GGL 3041Q is opened using a horizontal control bar at the top of the window, and can be swivelled a full 180 degrees in its frame. This helps with the cleaning of the window as you can clean it from inside your home.
