Fakro Flashings

Fakro flashings are necessary for installing the roof window into the roof. The flashing goes around the window and forms the seal between the roofing material and the window itself. Fakro flashings are designed with high precision so that the windows have an incredibly strong and tight fit of the roof window with the roofing material.

As well as fitting the roof window the flashing also provides drainage so that water from the outside is channelled away from the window, reducing moisture build up. Fakro flashings are made out of aluminium, and coated with a polyester varnish for protection. Most flashings will be brown RAL 7022, to complement most roofing colours; other colours are available on request.

There are over 20 types of flashing, so ordering the correct one can be a daunting task. However we have tried to make it as easy as possible for you at Ken’s Yard by adding the correct size of flashings and options that should only be used with specific window types, these will be displayed on the page of the window you are ordering.
